Sheri Bulwa brings a passion to her work as she helps her patients work through their challenges and provides them with healthier tools to reach their full potential. She supports and fosters their strengths and promotes behavioral and emotional growth. Having worked as a social worker in a school setting for many years, Ms. Bulwa understands the pressures and challenges children and adolescents face.

Ms. Bulwa provides therapy that is customized to the individual needs of her patients. Her approach to therapy is patient-focused, applying methods that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Solution-Focused Therapy. Ms. Bulwa supports and fosters her patient’s strengths, and promotes behavioral and emotional growth. She works with preschoolers, children, adolescents, and adults.

Ms. Bulwa’s experience includes work with students across the Northern Suburbs including Lake Forest and Deerfield. She has also served as a Social Worker for the North Suburban Special Education District.

Ms. Bulwa earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago. She is an Association Certified Social Worker and holds a Professional Educator License for Elementary, K-9. She is also licensed as a School Social Worker for Pre-kindergarten to age 22.

Ms. Bulwa grew up in the Chicagoland area and is a resident of the North Shore, where she has raised her children. She enjoys taking long walks in our area’s beautiful parks, spending time with family and reading a good novel.
